Brauer receives research appointment in South Wales - ASU's professor of economics, Dr. Jurgen Brauer, will continue work on his next book, Colonizing Military History: A Millennial View on the Economics of War. Carter named director of Paris Study Abroad program - Dr. Holly Carter will manage accommodations, the budget, selection of faculty, and student and faculty orientations. Harris is guest professor at German conference - Dr. paul Harris's activities include chairing a student-run panel on Russian Speaking Jewish Immigrants in Germany. Nelson appointed chair of national libraries committee - Dr. William Nelson will help the ACRL develop guidelines for academic libraries, academic institutions, and accrediting agencies. Board of Regents approves new state college - New college in Gwinnett County will admit its first students in fall 2006. ASU student awarded German fellowship - Nadia Jilani will travel to Germany this fall to work with top immigration scholars. ASU lands four All-American selections - ASU golfers Kalle Eberg, Scott Jamieson, Emmett Turner, and Major Manning named All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America. ASU's Tovey to join professional ranks - Cameron Tovey accepts a professional contract with the Perth Wildcats of the Australian Basketball League.
