Bourdouvalis

Christos Bourdouvalis, political science, has been named as the university's
international coordinator. He will be the liaison with the University System of Georgia for all announcements of international activities.

Lee Ann Caldwell, history and anthropology, was elected president of the Georgia Association of Historians at the annual conference held at Jekyll Island in April.

Wendy Turner, history and anthropology, presented a paper Many Are the
Sicknesses of the Middle Part of a Man's Head
at the annual meeting of the Georgia Association of Historians at Jeckyll Island.



Campus Notables

Jasper Cooke, public safety, received an award from the Augusta Judicial Circuit Domestic Violence Task Force for his work during National Crime Victims' Rights Week.

Michael Harris was selected as Physical Plant employee of the second quarter. Harris has been employed at ASU since March 1996 and he has been a grounds crew leader since March 2001. Harris enjoys working with fellow crew members and his customers, and his hobbies include fishing.
