Table of Contents Groundbreaking scheduled - Groundbreaking for the Phase II classroom replacement building will be held June 7. ASU names new academic leader - Samuel Sullivan is named as the next vice president for academic affairs. Meredith inauguration June 12 - Inauguration ceremony to be held in the Georgia House of Representatives. Sociology students earn national honors - Eight ASU students are honored by the American Sociological Association. Senate Bill 119 addresses licensure of counselors - Graduates of the five applied masters programs in psychology in the University System of Geogia are now eligible to apply for licensure as LPCs. ASU graduate receives Fulbright Scholarship - Mark Lockard will study in Germany on a Fulbright Scholarship. Officer receives Buckle Up, America! Award - Public safety officer Jeff Tilley receives award for his dedication to the community. Public safety sponsors bike rodeo - Fifty young cyclists participate in ASU's first Bike Rodeo. New program targets nursing shortage - A collaborative program with St. Joseph's Hospital fastracks LPNs. ASU Staff Advisory Council Report - Staff members are asked to nominate new members for the ASU Staff Advisory Council. Campus Notables - Faculty and staff members share their accomplishments.
