ASU’s women’s golf team made their first-ever appearance in the NCAA East Regional during May at Bryan Park Golf Club’s Champions Course in Browns Summit, N.C. They finished the tournament in 11th place. Lauren Smith placed sixth individually, which qualified her for the NCAA National Championship at the Ohio State Golf Club’s Scarlett Course in Columbus. This is a first for the five-year-old women’s golf team. (The women were ranked No. 32 in the nation by Golfweek and No. 36 by Golfstat.)
