Alumni Association presents awards

Don Howard, associate professor of economics, received the alumni association's Town and Gown award.

At its annual meeting February 20 at the Augusta Country Club, the ASU Alumni Association presented its annual awards recognizing service and distinction. It also named new officers and directors to the board of directors.

ASU Alumni Association 2004 Award Winners:

Golden Key Award – Cuthbert “Coco” Rubio, ‘90

Distinguished Service Award – Dr. Ed Pettit, associate dean of the Pamplin College of Arts and Sciences and professor of mathematics

Young Alumna Award – Shannon Stephens, counseling psychologist, ASU Counseling and Testing Center, ‘94

Town and Gown Award –Don Howard, associate professor of economics

Distinguished Alumnus Award – Nick Evans, chair and CEO of Bumper2Bumper Media and a partner in Associated Media Partners, ‘72
