Women's Week kicks off in March
The Augusta State Universitys Womens Studies Program is hosting a
series of events during Womens Week Feb. 26 through March 4. Admission
to all events is free unless otherwise noted.
Feb. 26, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Womens Studies Program reception on the lawn
between Allgood Hall and the Science Building.
Feb. 27 and 28, 7 p.m. - Readers Theatre production of A
Voice of My Own, Butler Lecture Hall.
March 3, 7 p.m. - Film Antonias Line, Butler
Lecture Hall, followed by a panel discussion.
March 3, 7 p.m. - Lysistrata Project: A Theatrical Act
of Dissent, co-sponsored by the Womens Studies Program and the Unitarian-Universalist
Womens Group, 3501 Walton Way Extension. Suggested donation $5 benefits
charities working for peace and humanitarian aid in the Middle East.
March 4, 7 p.m. - She Speaks, a presentation
of poetry, short stories, and one-act plays by the Garden City Writers, Washington
Hall Towers.
