Brenda Reese has been named the recipient of the Spring 2004 Staff Excellence award. Brenda, a custodian with the physical plant, has worked at ASU for 20 years. She was selected as the winner of the award because of her strong commitment to the university.
According to her nominator, she is always quick to volunteer to help out with university events, even when they fall long after work hours are over.

“She is a role model for employees,” said Max Brown, supervisor of ground maintenance. “Without her positive attitude and dedication, many major events could be more challenging to our staff.”

In her 20 years on campus, many people have gotten to know Brenda. “She is well-respected by students and faculty,” Mr. Brown said. “They know of her excellent work and often ask for her help.”

When she’s not working, she says she enjoys gardening, going to church, and spending time with her seven grandchildren.
