Six ASU Army ROTC cadets will receive their commission into the United States Army at the Spring Commissioning Ceremony on Friday, May 13, at 3 p.m. in 170 University Hall. This year marks the first time the program will not follow commencement. The ceremony date was changed to accommodate the change in time for the commencement exercises, which will be held on Saturday, May 14, at 2 p.m. at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center. The speaker for this year’s commissioning ceremony is Col. l Robert H. Woods, Jr., director of the U.S. Army's Human Resources Policy Directorate in the Office of Deputy Chief of Staff. Col. Woods, a 1979 graduate of Augusta College, earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice and a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
