Global health care is focus of last Cullum program
Two presentations in May focusing on global health care will wrap up ASU’s Cullum Lecture Series for 2006. Holly Carter, assistant professor of sociology, will present Health Care Around the Globe at 11:30 a.m. and Comparative Healthcare Delivery Systems: An Exploration at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, in 170 University Hall.
Dr. Carter just returned from Semester at Sea where she visited several countries such as Puerto Rico, Brazil, South Africa, Vietnam, India, Hong Kong, and Japan and was able to learn about the health conditions of the countries.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University, a second bachelor’s degree from Augusta State, a certificate in teaching and learning in higher education from the University of Surrey Roehampton, three master’s degrees, one from the University of Texas at Arlington, another from the University of Glasgow, and a third from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She also earned a doctoral degree from the University of North Texas.
