It’s War III
The military history show that features student audio and video displays has returned. It’s War VIII will be held on Thursday, May 3, from 1-3 p.m. in the Washington Hall Towers. For more information, call the Department of History, Anthropology, and Philosophy at 706-737-1710.
President’s Club Reception
The annual President’s Club reception will be held on Thursday, May 10, at 6 p.m. at the home of Charles and Nola Falcone. This invitation only event recognizes the President’s Club members who donated $1,000 or more in support of the university.
Debate for 10th Congressional District Seat
A debate for the 10th congressional district seat will be held on Wednesday, May 16, from 7-8:30 p.m. in JSAC ballroom. The debate will be moderated by Laurie Ott, WRDW Newschannel 12 anchor, with panelist from the Augusta Chronicle, Metro Spirit, Augusta Focus, and Hola! Augusta.
News Briefs
Augusta State’s 30-minute radio program, ASU Reports-On Air, featured Christie Launius, assistant professor of English and the director of women’s studies in the Department of English and Foreign Languages. Dr. Launius discussed the annual Take Back the Night rally, sexual assault, and women’s studies on the program which aired April 15.
The next program, which will air on May 13, will feature Melissa Hudson, Career Center, who will discuss career planning. The broadcast times are 6 a.m. on WAKB 96.9; 7 a.m. on WFXA 103.1 (Foxie 103); and 5:30 p.m. on WTHB 100.9.

In memory of those who died in the violence that took place on the campus of Virginia Tech, the bell in ASU’s clocktower outside the Benet House was rung at noon on April 20.
