Maxwell Theatre INFORMATION FOR Prospective
Students

Students, faculty, and staff will have the opportunity to view a slide show presentation by Mr. Breverman on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 4-5 p.m. in W1002 Science Building. An artist reception in his honor will follow the presentation from 5–7 p.m. in the FAC gallery. A two-part workshop, The Link between Drawing and Printmaking, will occur on Friday, Nov. 11, with Part 1 from 9 a.m.–noon and Part 2 from 1:30–4:30 p.m. in D2, printmaking shop, Fine Arts Center. In the first session, the artist will draw a portrait of a student to show his drawing and monotype processes. The second session will be dedicated to demonstrating how he transforms drawings into softground etchings. Mr. Breverman has received several awards and grants, among them the Ralph Fabri Prize, the Leo Meissner Prize, and the First Benjamin Altman Figure Painting Prize. He has also received the Distinguished Teaching of Art Award from the College Art Association at SUNY. For more information, contact Pamela Ferguson-Haggins at 737-1453.
