Maxwell Theatre INFORMATION FOR Prospective
Students

Inspired by the festivals and programs of Japan, the ensemble uses the taiko or big drum along with bamboo flutes and a 13-string koto to produce an enchanting sound that is sure to mesmerize the audience. Taikoza has performed in Asia, Mexico, and throughout the United States in some of its most renowned halls including Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center, and the Boston Symphony Hall. The group has also performed in the Suntory Hall in Tokyo and the Osaka Festival Hall. General admission is $5 and free to ASU students, faculty, and staff with a valid ASU ID. Other upcoming performances in the Maxwell Theatre include the Harry Jacobs Chamber Music Society in which pianist, Teresa Walters, will perform on Friday, Nov. 4, at 8 p.m. Free to faculty, staff, and students with valid ASU ID. ASU’s Jazz Ensemble will perform on Nov. 21 and the Wind Ensemble will perform on Nov. 22. The 8 p.m. concerts are free.
