ASU honors veterans Nov. 10

flagsAugusta State University will honor those who have served in the armed forces during its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. in the Quadrangle.

Lieutenant Colonel Edward Buckner, director of the Ordnance Electronic Maintenance Training Department at Fort Gordon, will be the guest speaker. Lt. Col. Buckner has received the Bronze Star, the National Defense Service Medal, the NATO Medal, and the Army Achievement Medal. He has served in several military operations that include Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraq Freedom.  

He received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Mercer University and a master's degree in information technology from Central Michigan University.
