Georgia ONmyLINE

Georgia OnMyLineEarning a quality education online just got a little easier. The University System of Georgia recently launched Georgia ONmyLINE, a website that provides access to an array of distance-education offerings from the 35 colleges and universities within the system. And Augusta State is participating with a total of 45 courses offered this fall and 17 being offered during the spring semester.

“Augusta State University’s online courses are included among those listed on the new Georgia ONmyLINE website,” says Maureen Akins, the Regent’s Advisory Council for Distance Education representative for ASU.

The website, www.georgiaonmyline.org, consists of a searchable catalog of 1,600 courses and 35 programs in a central location, allowing students to register and transfer credits among USG institutions. A key reason for the move toward online programs is to help alleviate areas of state need.

“Through this site, prospective and enrolled students can quickly find online programs and/or courses that meet their career or degree needs. They can apply for admission to colleges and universities, and once accepted, register for courses,” said Kris Biesinger, associate vice chancellor for Information and Instructional Technology Services.
