October 5 College of Education Open House Join faculty, staff and friends for this opportunity to visit these areas in the new University Hall. The Open House will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Refreshments and tours will be provided. October 6 Health Fair Stop by the Christenberry Fieldhouse on Wrightsboro Road between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for cholesterol screenings, flu shots, diabetes information and more. October 7, 8, 9 and 10 ASU Theatre – The Cherry Orchard Theatre performance at the Grover C. Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre at 8 p.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday. October 8 Phi Kappa Phi Forum ASU faculty and staff will participate in a panel discussion on the history of the University for students and alumni in Room 170 of University Hall from 9 until 11 a.m. Dedication of Georgia Historical Marker Faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to participate in the dedication of the Georgia Historical Society Marker that will be placed at the University front entrance. The ceremony will be held at University Hall at 11 a.m. Alumni Association Barbecue and A Day Celebration Come join the celebration of A Day for ASU 2004 from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. at the ASU Quadrangle. The event will feature barbecue cooked on-site by ASU alumnus James Britt, ’75, fixin’s by Sconyers Barbecue, entertainment by Steel String Theory as well as activities for children. October 9 Campus Visitation The ASU Office of Admissions invites all prospective students to visit the ASU campus between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at University Hall. October 14 Fine Arts Gala Concert The concert at 8 p.m. at the Grover C. Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre will honor Emily Remington, former Augusta College Choral Director. November 16 Alumni Reception at the King and Prince Beach Resort All ASU alumni are invited to attend the regional alumni reception from 6 until 8 p.m. in the Solarium at the King and Prince Beach Resort. Call (706) 737-1759 for additional information. November 30 Holiday Tree Lighting Start the holiday season with carols, cookies, hot chocolate and Santa at the annual ASU Holiday Tree Lighting. The festivities will be held at 6 p.m. on the lawn at the Grover C. Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre. December 11 Alumni Holiday Drop-In The Board of Directors of the ASU Alumni Association and Dr. and Mrs. William A. Bloodworth, Jr., invite you to a Holiday Drop-in from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Maxwell Alumni House. Please reply to (706) 737-1759.
