Faculty alumni will remember their student experiences at this institution in the annual fall symposium sponsored by the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi on Friday, Oct. 8, at 9 a.m. in 170 University Hall. The symposium titled Traditions and Transitions, is part of the annual A Day for Augusta State University observance, and it ends with an 11 a.m. ceremony to mark the unveiling of a historical marker. A reception will follow the ceremony. The panel discussion, moderated by President William A. Bloodworth, Jr., will feature faculty-alumni Paulette Harris, ‘71, ‘74, Cree Walker Professor of Education; Helen Hendee, ‘70 , acting vice president for advancement; Joseph Greene, ’71, Cree Walker Professor of Business Administration; Katherine Sweeney, ’82, ‘99, director of admissions and registrar; Cindy Craig, assistant professor of mathematics and chair of the Department of Learning Support; and Marc Miller, ’89, associate professor of business administration along with Edward Cashin, director of the Center for the Study of Georgia History.
