Faculty alumni relive their student experiences at Augusta College

Faculty alumni will remember their student experiences at this institution in the annual fall symposium sponsored by the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi on Friday, Oct. 8, at 9 a.m. in 170 University Hall. The symposium titled Traditions and Transitions, is part of the annual A Day for Augusta State University observance, and it ends with an 11 a.m. ceremony to mark the unveiling of a historical marker. A reception will follow the ceremony.

The panel discussion, moderated by President William A. Bloodworth, Jr., will feature faculty-alumni Paulette Harris, ‘71, ‘74, Cree Walker Professor of Education; Helen Hendee, ‘70 , acting vice president for advancement; Joseph Greene, ’71, Cree Walker Professor of Business Administration; Katherine Sweeney, ’82, ‘99, director of admissions and registrar; Cindy Craig, assistant professor of mathematics and chair of the Department of Learning Support; and Marc Miller, ’89, associate professor of business administration along with Edward Cashin, director of the Center for the Study of Georgia History.
