ASU’s Department of Nursing will host annual Health Fair

The Department of Nursing will offer free health services at the Christenberry Field House on Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the annual Health Fair, part of the A Day for Augusta State University campaign.

Local healthcare providers and the nursing department will provide free services that include blood sugar and blood pressure checks, massage therapy, screenings for vision, hearing, cholesterol, glucose, and body fat analysis, and testing for HIV, hand grip, and bone density. Information on the flu, pandemics, bioterrorism, diabetes, osteoporosis, hypertension, nutrition, lung cancer/smoking cessation, breast/testicular cancer, and sexually transmitted diseases will also be available.
