Fall Semester Pig Out
Chicken fingers, burgers, and hot dogs along with digital caricatures and airbrush tattoos will be the highlight of Pig Out on Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the JSAC Breezeway. The event, sponsored by the Office of Student Activities, gives faculty and staff an opportunity to visit with students. President's Club Luncheon
Each fall, the president holds a luncheon honoring members of the President's Club, a level recognizing giving to the university of $1,000 or more annually. This year's luncheon will be held in the Jaguar Student Activities Center ballroom on Thursday, Sept. 20. The luncheon officially closes out the campus campaign of the A Day for ASU and begins the community campaign.  For more information about this invitation-only event, call the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at 706-737-1759.

Constitution Day
President George W. Bush has designated Sept. 17 as Constitution Day. The Constitution of the United States was signed by 39 of the 55 Founding Fathers on Sept. 17, 1787.

Family Fun Series
Come out and enjoy a night of futuristic bowling at the Brunswick National Lanes as part of the Family Fun Series, sponsored by the Office of Student Activities. The event on Saturday, Sept. 22, runs from midnight-2:30 a.m. and features a cosmic light show, lasers, fog machines, great music, plus glow-in-the-dark pins and bowling balls.  Lanes, shoes, and snacks will be provided. Drug Awareness Week
The Office of Student Activities will be sponsoring week-long events to educate and inform faculty, staff, and students about the dangers of drugs. For more information, call 706-737-1610.

A Day for ASU campaign exceeds goal
According to Peggy Ruth Geren, A Day campus coordinator, faculty and staff have “stepped up to the plate and knocked one out of the park.” The total for on-campus giving is more than $130,000. The fundraising campaign has at least two more weeks until it ends.

Faculty/Staff wellness program begins
The Faculty/Staff Wellness program makes a return this semester. The free classes will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 4, in the Christenberry Field House and will continue each week, Monday through Thursday, from 5-6 p.m. Drs. Shirley and Chip Darracott will provide instruction and supervision in the weight room on Mondays and Wednesdays, and Julia Vagovic will lead aerobic classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All faculty, staff, alumni, and their spouses are welcome to participate. The program will run through Thursday, Dec. 6.
