ASU Offers European Union Studies Certificate

Dr. William Long
The new European Union Studies Certificate was introduced to campus November 15 by Dr. Christos Bourdouvalis, interim
chair of the Department of Political Science and other University System officials.

“This program presents a lot of opportunities not only to the students but to the faculty as well who may want to teach or
develop relevant courses,” said Dr. Bourdouvalis.

The European Union Studies Certificate is a collaborative program with other institutions in the University System. The University of Munich, Germany is also participating. ASU is one of the first participants.

Dr. Paul Harris, assistant professor of political science will be teaching the course titled U.S. – E.U. Relations. “There are a total of eight Augusta State University students, two North Georgia College and State university students, and two Armstrong Atlantic State University students taking part from the University System of Georgia,” said Dr. Harris.
