Israeli Physician Speaks On Middle East
On Tuesday, Dec. 4, Dr. Theo Dov Golan, a retired lieutenant
colonel and surgeon in the Israeli army, will speak in Butler Hall. His lecture
is entitled The Prospects for Peace in the Middle
East - A Physician's Perspective.
During the lecture, Dr. Golan will share his experiences and insights, as
well as answer questions about the current peace process. Before the talk,
he will speak separately with Assistant Professor Kelley Dorgan's intercultural
communications class.
In 1986 Dr. Golan was appointed the director-general of the Ministry of Health,
the Israeli equivalent of the Surgeon General. He currently is a medical doctor
residing in Israel.
