"PREP It Up"

Wrens studentsApproximately 130 students from Wrens Middle School visited Augusta State University Nov. 28 to experience first hand, life on a college campus. Students participated in hands-on informational sessions on topics
ranging from mathematical explorations in geometry to historical investigations of campus.

The visit was part of an initiative of the University System of Georgia known as PREP, or Post-secondary Readiness Enrichment Program, designed to help increase college readiness for seventh- to 12th- grade students.

ASU is one of 29 participating PREP institutions in Georgia. More than 1,900 students from area schools are scheduled to visit ASU this academic year and take part in the PREP program.
