The Public Safety Office, located off Arsenal Avenue
on the southwest corner of campus, supports the university by providing
services that contribute to the preservation of life, the protection of
property, safety of the campus community, and the facilitation of traffic
movement on campus.
The department consists of 14 police officers, an office manager, two
dispatchers, three parking employees, and two student workers. All police
officers are certified by the state of Georgia, are armed, and have full
arrest powers.
Parking services and the administrative offices are open 7:30 a.m. to
8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday. Police
officers patrol campus 24 hours a day. Call 737-1401 or stop by their
