ASU Staff Advisory Council

This year is off and running and so is the council! Last year, the council sponsored a number of successful campus and community projects, which were made successful through the participation by ASU staff, faculty, and students. “On behalf of the council, thank you; we know that you will be there again for this year’s projects,” says Patty Waggy, chair of Staff Advisory Council.

Coming Up:
• An event that is sure to be enjoyable is the upcoming Augusta Lynx College Night on February 16th. Tim Dobbs, physical plant, will be sending out an e-mail with more information on this night.

• This month the Georgia Staff Advisory Council will hold their first meeting of the year at Macon College. Several council members are planning to attend and will later share information with staff
representatives and in next month’s ASU Report.

• The Council is planning to hold a forum for all staff members during March with Dr. Bloodworth and ASU Administrators. This will be an opportunity for you to ask questions, make comments, or get clarification on institutional items. More information will be sent directly to all staff members regarding date, time, and location. The Staff Advisory Council encourages all staff members to attend this very important forum.

The council welcomes the following new staff members (hired since October 1) to our campus.

Sheila Redmond, Registrar Office
Sheila Walker, Office of Admissions
Deborah Hayba, Reese Library
Rose Shirey, Copy Center
Stephen Brady, Office of Public Relations and Publications
Tomoe Gramkow, Office of Computer Services, Admin.
Walter Bodie, Landscaping & Grounds
Stephen Wolford, Public Safety
James Nichols, Landscaping & Grounds

If there are items that staff members would like to be included in the next issue of the ASU Report, please submit them to Patty Waggy on behalf of the council. All items are welcome, including campus or community accomplishments and activities.
