Warner speaks at Teaching and Learning Task Force meeting

Dr. Mark WarnerIn a meeting of the Teaching and Learning Task Force held Jan. 15 in the Towers, Dr. Mark Warner, assistant professor of education administration, made a presentation titled Students as Learners.

In his presentation, Warner encouraged educators to create learning environments that are ‘brain friendly.’

Learning is a search for meaning, he said, and therefore, learning must start with the issues around which students are actively trying to construct meaning.

The meetings, organized by the faculty, are designed to share ideas and as development seminars to improve teaching and learning on campus.

The next meeting is Feb. 12 in the Towers.
