2003 Cullum Series kicks off January 16
The
2003 Cullum series kicks off Jan. 16 with the keynote speech by Robert
Pastor, vice president of international affairs and professor of international
relations at American University.
The title this year is Frontiers in Motion: U.S.
- Latin American and Caribbean Borderlands, The series explores
the relationship between the United States and the bordering Latin American
and Caribbean basin countries including Cuba, Mexico and others.
The series provides opportunities to hear experts in a variety of fields,
to view films, and to attend concerts and art exhibits relating to the
borderlands region. There will also be a cultural festival featuring food
and art from the area. All presentations are free and open to the public.
