Dr. Parham’s work has been published in numerous periodicals including The Georgia Review, Asheville Poetry Review, Southern Humanities Review, and Harvard Magazine. Dr. Parham is the editor of the Southern Poetry Review and his chapbook, What Part Motion Plays in the Equation of Love, won the Palanquin Competition. Sharan Strange is the author of Ash, which received the Barnard New Women Poets Prize. Her work has been featured in journals such as Agenda (African Feminisms: Three), The Harvard Advocate, and The American Poetry Review. She is a contributing editor of Callaloo and faculty advisor of L-I-N-K-E-D, the online literary journal at Spelman College, where she teaches creative writing. Lavonne J. Adams is the 2004 recipient of the Randall Jarrell/Harperprints Chapbook Award for In the Shadow of the Mountain. In 1999, she was awarded the Persephone Poetry Award for Everyday Still Life and featured as an emerging artist at the Millennial Gathering of the Writers of the New South at Vanderbilt University. Her works appear in various literary journals including The Missouri Review, Ellipsis, and The Baltimore Review. Dr. Adams currently teaches poetry in the Department of Creative Writing at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
