Campus Notables

Philip Morsberger, fine arts, was cited as a contributor to the recently published History of the University of Oxford, Volume 7, Nineteenth Century Oxford, Part 2. Morsberger held the Ruskin Master of Drawing chair at Oxford University for 13 years, from 1971-1984. He joined ASU in 1996 as the William S. Morris Eminent Scholar in Art.

Emamuddin Hoosain, teacher development, made a recent presentation at the Third Annual Mathematics Conference at Columbus State University entitled Cognitively Guided Instruction: A Case Study of Problem Solving.

 

Ed Cashin, Center for the Study of Georgia History, presented a lecture on William Bartram as part of a public lecture series sponsored by the Highlands Institute for American Religious and Philosophical Thought, Inc., in Highland, NC. Cashin is author of the book, William Bartram and the American Revolution on the Southern Frontier.

Bill Bompart, academic affairs, made a presentation entitled Luncheon Interlude at the annual meeting of SACS in Atlanta during December.

Randy Rhodes, building maintenance, has been selected as the Employee of the Quarter for the Physical Plant. In his leisure time, Randy enjoys basketball and movies.
