Enrollment Increases
Enrollment took an upward climb summer term. According to
Katherine Sweeney, director of Admissions and registrar, the number of students
attending summer term is the highest since summer 1997. New student enrollment
for summer 2001 is also higher than it has been since at least 1991, she says.
"The flexibility of a second summer session seems to appeal to many of
our transient students who cannot enroll so early in May because of their
schools' calendars," says Sweeney. The numbers are also looking good
for fall 2001 as well, she adds.
