The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia have approved 15 faculty members for promotion in rank, effective fall semester. Promoted to associate professor are Bonnie L. Blanton, education; Charlotte M. Christy, biology; Kimberly A. Davies, sociology; Robert L. Foster, music; Joseph A. Hauger, physics; Donald P. Howard, economics; Helene A. Shugart, communications; Billy M. Thomas, physical education; Guy E. Warner, communications; Holly Thornton, teacher development; and David L. White, library science.

Promoted to professor are Jurgen Brauer economics; Rosalyn W. Floyd, music; Lewen Anthony Kellman, English; Christopher P. H. Murphy, anthropology; and Raymond A. Whiting, political science.
