woman's photoWomen's History Month will be celebrated at ASU with a week of activities, March 5 - 9, that has been designated as Women's Week. Representatives of the Women's Studies program will be in the teardrop each day at 9 a.m. with information available on the Women's Studies program. Monday through Thursday, visitors may contribute to a collective poem about women, and on Friday take part in a quiz that may earn participants a free tee shirt. On Monday and Tuesday, 5th and 6th, their hours of operation are from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.; on Wednesday, 9 - 11 a.m.; and on Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Other activities during Women's Week include: Monday, the 5th, a luncheon at 11:30 a.m., and a film at 6 and 8:30 p.m. in Butler Lecture Hall entitled The Virgin Suicides. On Tuesday, the 6th, at the teardrop, a Goddess Making Workshop will be held where participants can sculpt their own creations for free. On Wednesday, the 7th, singer-songwriter Jennifer Daniels will present two performances in the Fine Arts Center-C1, at 12:30 p.m. and at 1:15 p.m. At 1 p.m. in Butler Hall 6, a Women's Studies Student Symposium will present a sampling of work done by ASU students on women's issues.
