Executives visit ASU

J.T. CosnahanMore than two dozen top executives from area businesses will visit Augusta State March 4 - 7 as part of Visiting Executives Week.

The speakers will address nearly 700 students in finance, accounting, marketing, and management classes, on topics ranging from their own backgrounds to the outlooks in their industry and industry issues. This is the 10th year ASU has held the event.

“The intent of the program is to assist students with career direction by exposing them to career paths that various successful businessmen and women in the local community have taken,” said Mary Lisko, assistant dean of the College of Business Administration.

Some of the speakers include Paul Brewer from Augusta Magazine; Norm Shaffer, first vice president for Salomon, Smith and Barney; Remer Brinson, president and CEO for First Bank of Georgia; and JoAnne Hoffman, director of corporate communications for Morris Communication.
