Knowledge is Power Tour

Chancellor MeredithThe University System of Georgia’s Knowledge is Power Tour was held April 23 at the Physical Education/Athletic Complex.

The luncheon spotlighted ICAPP (Intellectual Capital Partnership Program), the University System’s economic development initiative, to local business leaders. The tour highlights the University System’s existing and proposed efforts to encourage regional and statewide economic development by using the intellectual capital of its 34 campuses to meet business needs.

The event featured remarks by Chancellor Thomas C. Meredith and success stories from several Augusta-area individuals who have benefited from ICAPP.

This is the second in a series of events that will take the University System’s Knowledge Is Power Tour to the state’s 12 economic regions. Events will be held in each region through October 2002.
