ASU professor to discuss short film

Augusta, Ga. – After winning the Time Out Chicago Photo Contest in 2006 and traveling to Lithuania to document his search for his family lineage in a short film, Rick Pukis, assistant professor of communications, continues to add to Augusta State University’s own media art brilliance.

Mr. Pukis is one of three artists whose work is being displayed from Oct. 4-31 in the New Space Gallery in Washington Hall as part of the On the Way Home: Converging Images of Movement and Stillness art exhibit. He will discuss his short film at an artist talk on Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 4-5 p.m. in 170 University Hall.

This artistic event is free and open to the public. For more information, call ASU’s Department of Art 706-667-4888.
