ASU Student Jaguars!
If you did not attend last night’s basketball Jaguar pouncing, you missed a smack down! Augusta State’s women and men drowned the Clayton State Lakers. Both women and men have a five game home sweep to their credit. This is the only time two nationally ranked teams have played at Christenberry Field House. Even Dr. Christenberry was there cheering the teams on from the second row!
The student section was packed with over 500 students in blue. The young ladies with the red tops (you know who you are) were smokin’! The University Village group of students in the white tee-shirts with “Go Jaguars” had a lot of spirit and danced the night away! The baseball team won their game and appeared in full gear to cheer. Tim Dobbs made huge ASU letters for the crowd to pass around. The cheerleaders were there. The Pep Band was there. Everybody with spirit was there!
The next home game is HOMECOMING on February 17 (Saturday). There will be a cook-out with free food and lots of giveaways. We’re playing UNC Pembroke and we want to send them back home with a loss. Last night, Coach Metress gave out tee-shirts and his “BLUE OUT” night was a huge success! Let’s make our HOMECOMING Game another BLUE OUT. Wear your blue and white tee shirts.
Celebrate in true blue and white style tomorrow. President Bloodworth declares Friday, February 9, BLUE AND WHITE DAY at ASU!
