ASU to host Volunteer Fair

Augusta, Ga. - The number of college students who volunteer was up by about 20 percent from 2002 to 2005, according to a report by the Corporation for National and Community Service.

To provide opportunities for this increased spirit of volunteerism among college students, Augusta State University will host a Volunteer Fair on Tuesday, March 27, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Jaguar Student Activities Ballroom.

Non-profit agencies throughout the Central Savannah River Area will be on hand to offer volunteer opportunities to ASU students, faculty, and staff. Hands on Harlem and the Richmond County Council of Volunteer Administrators assisted in the coordination of the Volunteer Fair.
