ASU wins Math Jeopardy Competition
Augusta, Ga. – Questions that required not only knowledge of mathematics and highly developed problem solving skills proved to be not too difficult for four Augusta State University students.
Augusta State students Morgan Dominy, Dan Gray, Howard Turner, and Tony Zamberlan, took first prize in a math jeopardy competition at the annual Mathematics Association of America Southeastern on March 29.
The ASU students competed against 15 other teams from the Southeast in the competition held at the Citadel in Charleston, SC. They received the top scores on the first day of the competition, qualifying them for the second round where they competed against four other teams and again achieved the best scores.
