ASU to host Sourcefire and Snort presentation

Augusta, Ga.—Online identity theft, hackers, and computer viruses have proven to be a problem in our technology rich society. Sourcefire, a major world leader in computer network intrusion prevention, has developed a system, Snort, which defends systems against the aforementioned culprits.

Augusta State’s Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and the Hull College of Business will present Joel Esler, senior security consultant at Sourcefire, on Friday, June 1, at 4:30 p.m. in 170 University Hall. Mr. Esler will discuss Sourcefire and Snort: Past, Present, and Future.
