Fall Enrollment Reflects Increase

ASU studentsFall semester got underway at Augusta State University as 5,406 students enrolled for classes–an increase of 314 over last year's official total. That number may change somewhat over the next few weeks and an official enrollment figure will not be available until later in the semester. The official fall 2000 enrollment was 5,092.

"What a great start to the new academic year. Students, faculty and staff all worked together for our enrollment success this fall," says Katherine Sweeney, registrar and director of admissions. "Faculty have commented that students are off to a great start, taking courses seriously and actively participating in class. Students have commented that contrary to what they often hear about college, the faculty are genuinely interested and concerned about them," she adds.
