STAFF
ADVISORY COUNCIL REPORT
Reese Library Wins Decorating Contest
The Staff Advisory Council would like to thank everyone
who participated in the Back to School Supply Drive,
says Patty Waggy, chair. This was the second year for this drive, and the
response was overwhelming. The bins were overflowing with much needed supplies
and the decoration contest was once again so creative. The collection bin
from Reese Library won the decoration contest.
Representatives of Staff Council will attend the annual conference of the
University Systems Staff Advisory Council in October. "Information developed
from the conference, including a presentation on Teacher's Retirement, will
be shared with staff members," says Ms. Waggy.
The council is seeking ideas for a professional development workshop. Two
years ago the council sponsored a one day workshop with various sessions.
"We would like for you to take a few moments to think about 2-3 areas
of interest that could possibly be involved in a workshop," says Ms.
Waggy.
The next council meeting will be September 20. If there are any items, topics,
comments, etc., staff members would like brought before the Council, contact
either Patty Waggy or your representative. Thanks again for all the support!
