Week of Welcome is Huge Success!

Fall semester students were met with a Week of Welcome by ASU faculty and staff, which began on the first day of classes, August 20. Throughout the week, students met representatives of student organizations, student services, athletics, and student resources. The week's highlights included an opportunity to make music videos on Monday in Washington Hall and a cookout on Thursday in front of the New Science Building.

To recognize the welcoming spirit displayed by faculty and staff, Dean of Students Joyce Jones created a Spirit Award, which was presented at week's end to the Business Office. Members of the Business Office include Dan Whitfield, Angela Prettelt, Barbara Stewart, Jean Christian, Jennifer Cooley, Beula Dorsey, Susan Ennis, Kaye Foote, Jennifer Guy, June Hall, Charity Jones, Rhonda Prescott, Thara Krishnan, Clorette Riddle, Vera Boyll, Julian Veal, and two student assistants, Cheryl Scott and Melissa Vinson.
