After Hours Building Access

PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICERS CANNOT GRANT ACCESS TO BUILDINGS OR CLASSROOMS

ASU After Hours Access Policy

  • Authorized after hours access to ASU facilities

  • Must have valid ASU I D.

  • Must have prior written permission from the administrator in charge of the area where access is needed.

  • Must have a "buddy" in certain restricted areas for safety reasons.

  • Not allowed to bring unauthorized person(s) into ASU facilities

Facilities are defined as buildings, labs, athletic fields, and / or other real property owned or leased by ASU.

"Buddies" required in restricted areas must be a licensed driver with a valid driver's license on their person or must be an ASU student.

HARDY HALL computer lab is the only building that has 24 hour computer lab access for current semester students.  During times when the school is closed (between semesters) this lab will also be closed.

Students must have a valid A.S.U. Identification card with them when requesting entrance to after hour buildings and rooms.  You must present this I.D. card when requested to do so by a Public Safety Officer. Failure to present a valid I.D. card will result in the person not being allowed to enter the area and being asked to leave campus.

University Policy allows for students to enter campus facilities after hours when they have received Prior Written Authorization.

This means your professor, supervisor, or building manager must submit the proper paperwork to the Public Safety Office prior to your being admitted to the locked building or area.

In the Event the School is Closed for an EMERGENCY during the semester.  There will be NO ACCESS GRANTED TO ANY STUDENT, FACULTY OR STAFF without authorization from the Campus Administration.
