The Augusta State University Research Center is an integral part of  Augusta State University, an institution of higher learning committed to the enrichment of the Augusta Community. The Center mobilizes the expertise and information resources of the University to serve research needs of the Central Savannah River Area.
Services Offered

Biology:

Genetics; microbial ecology; isolation of proteins; neurobiology; mammalian embryonic development; reproductive endocrinology; parasitology; cellular biology; pollution of aquatic ecosystems; marine biology; fisheries biology; local plant and fungal taxonomy; fern gametophyte development; documentation of fish, amphibians, and reptiles in Georgia; and behavior and ecology birds.
Business Administration:
Human resource management; financial planning; statistical process control; risk management; organizational management; strategic planning; strategic marketing planning; production control; accounting and taxation for small businesses, professionals, and not-for-profit organization; and personal financial planning.
Career Planning:
Behavior interviewing; career personal development testing; human resource audits; development of career mapping programs; development of alternative hiring methods for business, industry, and government employers; presentation of workshops related to resume writing; presentations of workshops related to resume writing, interviewing skills, and job-search strategies.
Chemistry:

Counseling and Testing Center:
Administration, scoring, and interpretation of standardized test that measure personality characteristics, career interests, emotional status, and/or academic strengths and weaknesses.
Fine Arts:
Music, art, music education, vocal techniques, pedagogy, musicology, orchestral literature, art history, ceramics, bronze casting, drawing and painting, printmaking, installation, and wood carving.
History:
Historic preservation, archival organization and maintenance, research and writing techniques, and methods and uses of pictorial history.
Languages, Literature and Communications:
Organizational and legal communications; public relations; advertising; science fiction; speech construction; voice and articulation; acting; directing; costume design and construction; stage and theatre management; business writing; proofreading; script writing; film and television production;
and translation services in French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Mathematics:
Software design and analysis, programming, database, personnel training and course development in course science, PC hardware requirements and installation, parametric and nonparametric statistical analysis, applied mathematics, optimization, and mathematics education.
Media Services:
Production of presentation in various media, that includes photos, slides, overhead transparencies, computer-generated images, and video. Program evaluation, script-writing, and tape duplication.
Nursing:
Nursing education, evaluation research, health promotion and maintenance, health screening, minority health issues, AIDS education, and cancer therapies.
Political Science:
Governmental organizations, data collection and analysis, state an local grant programs, community attitude studies, conflict resolution, legal research, foreign policy analysis, international business consulting, and other government-related areas.
Physics:
Atomic, molecular, and optical physics, based on experiences in the utilization of a variety of laser systems (pulsed, CW, narrow bandwidth, and tunable).
Psychology:
