CJ - Criminal Justice Courses CJ 1103 | Introduction to Criminal Justice (3-0-3) | Survey of the history and philosophy of law enforcement, criminal justice administration, and criminal
rehabilitation. Criminal justice is examined as a product of social forces and as a modern institution which impacts upon
other social institutions. Emphasis is given to criminal justice as a process involving many organizations and agencies with
diverse clientele and purposes. Prerequisites: None | CJ 3329 | Introduction to Police Science (3-0-3) | A survey of the philosophical and historical background of law enforcement and the role it plays in our
society today. Emphasis will be placed on the development, organization, operation, and results of the different systems
of law enforcement in America. Prerequisites: CJ 1103, SOCI 1160 or permission of the instructor. | CJ 3330 | Social Deviance (3-0-3) | Covers theoretical and empirical issues in the understanding and designations of deviant behavior; addresses
the analysis or the social causes and consequences of deviance, conformity, and societal reactions. Prerequisites: SOCI
