FINANCIAL INFORMATION FEES AND OTHER COSTS Registration at the beginning of each semester is not complete until all general fees have been paid and no student may be admitted to classes without having met his or her financial obligations.
Expenses are charged and payable by the semester since each semester constitutes a separate unit of operations. You may enroll at the beginning of any semester. To ensure sound financial operation and conformity with the policies of the Board of Regents, certain regulations must be observed.
Tuition and fees may be paid in cash, by check, Visa Card, MasterCard, or Discover Card. All payments are made in the Business Office, except for credit card payments, which may also be made through ASTRO by phone. A $25.00 service charge is assessed on any check that is not paid on presentation to the bank on which it is drawn. A student is given ten working days to clear a returned check given to pay tuition and fees. If the check is not cleared within the specified period, the check is given to Public Safety for collection. A check given during Priority Registration that is not honored by the bank, and not cleared by the first day of the term, will result in cancellation of the student's enrollment.
Augusta State University reserves the right to withhold all records (diplomas, transcripts, etc.) and/or revoke enrollment of students who fail to meet financial obligations to Augusta State University. All matriculation charges, board, room rent, or other charges are subject to change at the end of any semester.
