Former Student Applications

If you have attended any other college or university since your last enrollment at Augusta State University you should reapply through the Office of Admissions. If you have not enrolled in Augusta State University or attended any other college or university, for more than two years, you should apply for readmission through the Office of the Registrar at least 30 days prior to the desired term of attendance.

Complete the former student application form only if you have not attended this school for two years or more. If you have attended another school since you were here last please contact admissions.

Graduation

Graduation ceremonies are held in May each year. Students should apply for graduation at the graduate or undergraduate level no later than midterm of the term preceding the final term of course work. Students completing requirements in the summer or fall may elect to walk at the ceremony in May of that year by completing a Graduation Attendance Notification form due to the Registrar's Office March 2nd. This will in no way replace the formal graduation application process but will guarantee that your name is printed in the ceremony program.
Graduation applications are available from the Registrar's Office or the student's advising department. The academic advisor of the major must verify all coursework &/or graduation requirements yet to be fulfilled by signing the completed form. The same review is required by the department chair of the minor concentration. A $25.00 application fee is charged to each graduate and should be paid to the Business Office in Fanning Hall before the application is submitted to the Registrar's Office. Payment is verified by the signature of the business officer on the application.
The Registrar's Office will review the application & send students confirmation of any outstanding graduation requirements. In addition, students will be supplied with a graduation information sheet detailing such items as graduation dates & times, cap & gown ordering, special accommodation requests for individuals with disabilities etc ....

Registration

Students should check with their academic departments to determine when and where they will register. The schedule booklet can be found on the Registrars homepage at "http://www.aug.edu/registrar_va/booklet2.htm" .
The registration dates and times are also listed in the term schedule book.

Transcripts

A student who has no holds on his/her transcript may receive transcripts of his/her academic record. The normal processing time for the transcript is 2-3 working days. A student must make the request in person, by FAX to (706) 667-4958, cover sheet not required, or letter to the Office of the Registrar, Payne Hall.

Transfer Credit

Once a student has been accepted and official transcripts have been received from colleges or universities previously attended, the Registrar's Office will complete an evaluation of transferable credits. A copy of this evaluation is mailed to the student and to the advising department. This evaluation should be used when meeting with an advising department prior to registration. Courses completed with satisfactory grades from other accredited colleges and universities will transfer directly provided the course content corresponds to course content at Augusta State University.
