Kathleen Searles, Ph.D.
My research focuses on American politics, political communication, and political psychology broadly; more specifically, campaigns and emotions. My work has been published in Political Research Quarterly, American Political Research, Political Psychology, International Journal of Social Science Research Methodology, Washington State Government and Politics, and Applied Environmental Communication. Ongoing research projects examine the effects of watching Fox News on attitude change over-time, and the effects of male and female voiceovers in campaign advertisements.
When not teaching various classes in American Politics and Methodology I enjoy walking my (spoiled) dog, Gus, along the Greenway and cooking for my (also very spoiled) husband.
