The Augusta State University Student Government Association is structure into two branches of power: the Executive Branch and the Legislative Branch. The Executive Branch is composed of elected officers: the President, Vice-president, Secretary, Treasurer, and the Advisor. All these individual works in unison to further the agenda of Student Government Association.

The Legislative Branch is composed of elected legislatures who codify, vote, and pass bills/resolutions that because binding status for ASU Student Government and ASU University community. However, both branches derive its power from the binding codes and laws of the Augusta State University Student Government Association Constitution and bylaws. It is the goal and expectation of both branches to serve and represent the ideas and opinion of the students of Augusta State University; therefore committing to promote an excellence educational environment where students' interests are welcome and respected.
