
Academic Improvement Committee
The Academic Committee of Augusta State University Student Government Association is an important piece of the association. The committee is concern with the academic policies of the institution; the members of the committee try to work with students on any academic related issues.
Also, the committee is charge: "To screen, prepare, and propose all academic orders of business for the Student Senate. To ensure that the Director of Student Activities reviews the compliance by SGA office holders of all Grade Point Average and academic probation requirements for SGA offices. Any violations shall be reported to the student, by the Director of Student Activities."

Rules and Efficency
Another committee of Student Government Association is the Rules and Efficiency Committee. The memebers of this committee are responsible for drafting and presenting rules that govern the association. They also take charge or reviewing policies that may affect students on Augusta State campus.
Also, the committee is charge: "To screen, prepare, and propose all procedural orders of business; to write, prepare and bring to the Student Senate all amendments or changes to the Constitution and all proposed Bylaws to the Constitution."

Student Welfare Committee
Student Welfare Committee is one of the most important committee of Student Government Association. This committee is charge with the affairs of students on Augusta State campus. The members of this committee maintain a direct link with students; they are expected to monitor and work to correct problems for the students of Augusta State University.
Also, the committee is charge "To screen, prepare, and propose for the Student Senate all non-academic and non-procedural orders of business, such as student oriented services, retreats, banquets and the like; to monitor problems and work to correct problems involving the campus life of the students of Augusta State University."
