The Legislative Branch of Augusta State University Student Government Association is composed of Augusta State University students either elected during the spring campus-wide Student Government Association elections or through a rigorous interview process that takes place during the times outside of the campus-wide elections. The Senate is the source of all bills and resolutions that fund campus organizations projects, and they identify problems and present solutions to areas of concerns for students to the administration.
Augusta State University Student Government Association seats twenty-four (24) senators. Among these individuals: there are six (6) senators representing the college of Reese Pamplin College of Art and Sciences; three (3) senators representing the college of Hull College of Business; three (3) senators representing the College of Education; and finally there are twelve (12) senators representing the At-Large campus.
