CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS

Alpha Kappa Delta
An international organization dedicated to promoting, facilitating, and recognizing academic scholarship. Alpha Kappa Delta is an integral part of many Sociology programs and is proud to acknowledge that in the past eight decades, over 80,000 scholars have been initiated into the Society. The Advisors for Alpha Kappa Delta are Dr. Robert Johnston and Dr. Todd Powell-Williams.

Alpha Phi Sigma
Alpha Phi Sigma is the only National Criminal Justice Honor Society for Criminal Justice Majors. The society recognizes academic excellence of undergraduate, graduate students of criminal justice, as well as juris doctorate. The Advisors for Alpha Phi Sigma are Dr. William Reese and Dr. Kim Davies.

Criminal Justice Club
The Criminal Justice Club works to recognize and promote scholarship among students engaged in preparation for professions in the criminal justice system, and provide a forum for keeping abreast of new developments in criminal justice. The advisor for the Criminal Justice Club is Dr. Allison Foley.

Social Hearts Club
The Social Hearts Clubs encourages its members to have contact with our community by promoting volunteerism. The club is a division of Social Work. The advisor for the Social Hearts Club is Dr. Shirley Huisman Jezowski.

Sociology Club
The Sociology Club is an official organization that encourages contact between sociology majors, helps to instill professionalism, and is involved in community service. The club provides information on internships, brings in guest speakers on important and relevant themes, sponsors field trips, and explores the diversity in occupations for which a sociology degree may be used. The advisor for the Sociology Club is Dr. Todd Powell-Williams.
